The initiative, run by the Project “Sustainable use of Technology for Public Sector Accountability in Nepal – SUSASAN” aims at enabling learning and sharing of knowledge and practices among civil society, local governments, and other stakeholders on the issues of open data, participatory budget, citizens grievances and participation, which are also key thematic focuses of the project. Pertinent issues include but not limited to the matters related to local governance, freedom of information, budget transparency, effective civic oversight.

The SUSASAN Knowledge Hub aims at attaining objectives as follows:

  • A sustainable web based platform for an engagement of civil societies and other stakeholders for learning and sharing knowledge. 
  • Maintenance of a comprehensive database of information, knowledge and resources shared through the platform. 
  • The platform serves as a better platform for enhancing capacities of civil society in terms of showcasing achievements and challenges of the SUSASAN project to a wider variety of stakeholders majorly involving civil society organizations. 
  • The platform serves as the best way to learn more about how SUSASAN Project has piloted blending thematic focus in improving governance with technological innovations and the use of data. The best practices are expected to serve as references for other stakeholders such as local governments, civil society etc.
